Hansgrohe introduces RainBrain to the Middle East

Hansgrohe, a leading manufacturer of bathroom fittings and showerheads, has launched RainBrain, a personal digital control centre for the shower. The mini-computer controls shower operation, jet types and temperature, so the user is free to completely relax, providing a unique shower experience.

Much like a tablet, this innovative system is equipped with five individual functions, of which any three can be used simultaneously, and it is controlled intuitively and conveniently with the touch of a button.

control centre

Dirk Schilmoeller, sales and marketing manager Middle East, Hansgrohe, commented: “Design, innovation and quality are inseparable at Hansgrohe. This concept has been at the core of the company philosophy for decades and RainBrain is no exception. We are very proud that we have been able to create such an innovative product.

“RainBrain is the latest product to arrive in the Middle East. It is an attractive solution not only for technology enthusiasts, but also for customers who want to enjoy their dream shower without the need for complex and complicated control systems. It goes far beyond the basics, offering several exclusive shower functions all activated by the touch of a button.”

User can preset preferences with the help of the “shower butler.” Through this one can alternate between hot and cold water, set the temperature, choose the spray mode, and manage the hand shower and side showers via the interval function to create perfect shower experience. In addition, the electronic anti-scald system avoids accidents by protecting children and adults from being exposed to high temperatures.

Other options available via the device include water cascades, control of the light sources integrated into the shower, as well as music selection via a Bluetooth compatible smartphone or media player, all of which are easily accessible via the menu function.

At the touch of a finger, the RainBrain screen enables customers to set their preferred settings by navigating through the easily identifiable icons along the top or side of the screen with a central knob controlling temperature, in addition to a convenient on/off push pause feature.

The home screen, created by the renowned design company Phoenix Design, provides a visual display and status of the overall system. Temperatures and time are illuminated and easy to read, large-scale pictograms featuring animation and color-coding indicate the activity of the individual showerheads, and transitions between the various screens produce clear sequences of commands for the user.

RainBrain was awarded the “iF Communication Award” in the category “Interface Design” in 2010. A total of 1,687 submissions vied for the coveted prize for the best communication design that year.

Hansgrohe@Home is another recent innovation from Hansgrohe. Its first iPhone application, Hansgrohe@home allows users to virtually create their dream wash basin on the iPhone.

“Operating the Hansgrohe@Home app is easy, just photograph your own wash basin with your Smartphone and erase the old mixer by swiping it. Now select from Hansgrohe’s wealth of options and insert the mixer of your choice. The Hansgrohe Metris, Talis, Focus and PuraVida mixer ranges are all available,” said Schilmoeller.

“The app offers information about the products, along with links to Facebook and Twitter, so that the user can share bathroom dreams with others.”

The Hansgrohe@Home iPhone app, version 2.0 can be downloaded from http://itunes.de/app/hansgrohehome

Within the international Hansgrohe Group, Hansgrohe is the premium brand for bathroom and kitchen fixtures, showers and shower systems as well as thermostat and plumbing technology. Winner of numerous awards throughout the world, the brand’s products stand for modern technologies, innovative design and a superlative level of functional quality. With inventions such as the shower bar, adjustable spray types, the QuickClean function, the AirPower or the EcoSmart technology, Hansgrohe is regarded as one of the leading innovators in the international sanitation industry.
In the current ranking of the International Forum Design (iF) of the world’s best enterprises in the field of design, Hansgrohe SE is in 11th position among 1,900 companies.
