gulfInteriors attracts leading regional and international specialists

The crème-de-la-crème of the interiors, design and furniture worlds comes to Bahrain as the widely anticipated and acclaimed gulfInteriors exhibition makes a welcome return.

The exhibition, to be held from April 24 to 26, 2012 at Hall 2 of the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIEC), promises to be a spectacular showcase like no other in the kingdom. The show has traditionally been held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain.

This year’s show is already a sellout as exhibitors look to access a consumer and business market so uniquely covered by interiors products. Top local, regional and international interiors, design and furniture specialists are set to participate in the show, and product launches, unique designs and demonstrations of cutting-edge capabilities – which proved so popular among both exhibitors and visitors to the 2010 show – will again inject passion and energy to proceedings.

Among the sectors to be covered at gulfInteriors 2012 are contract and residential furniture, interior design services and contracting, textiles and upholstery fabrics, beds and bedding, floorings and wall coverings, lighting, kitchens and bathrooms, art and accessories, ceramics, marble and granite, outdoor living, hospitality and office interiors.

Exhibitors will this year include Bahrain’s top furniture and design houses such as ID Design, dwp and Home Centre. Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of show organisers Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE), says: “The interiors, design and furniture sectors are important from both trade and consumer perspective, and attract great excitement among our visitors, Increased regional and national spending on hospitality and real estate projects generates huge business potential for interiors-related businesses of all sizes, and gulfInteriors is here to serve that pent-up demand.”

According to HCE, gulfInteriors 2012 will have something for everyone – for exhibitors and interiors professionals an opportunity to engage with clients in a tightly focused, business-conducive atmosphere to raise brand awareness; and for visitors an opportunity to experience what is currently making the interiors market tick, and meet with some of the industry’s most inspiring and influential players.

Abdulrahman adds: “gulfInteriors exhibitors are the epitome of style and design. They are shaping the future of the interiors, design and furniture sectors in our region, and their products and services appeal to discerning connoisseurs around the world, from buyers for large projects to individual home owners. For this reason gulfInteriors is already one of the most talked-about, and most anticipated, events on the Northern Gulf’s exhibition calendar.”

A total of 166 exhibitors from 21 countries participated in the joint gulfBID and gulfInteriors exhibitions in May 2010, attracting 5,990 unique professional trade visitors from leading construction and interiors companies, an 80 per cent increase on 2009 attendance figures. With gulfInteriors being marketed independently from gulfBID for the first time, these figures should be surpassed, guaranteeing a vibrant three days of networking and deal-making in BIEC Hall 2.

gulfInteriors exhibition is supported by Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce; the Tamkeen Labour Fund, the German Arab Chamber of Commerce and the British Contract Furnishing Association.
