Italian manufacturer launches four luminaires at interiors event

As part of its commitment to the Middle East region, iGuzzini, Italy’s leading manufacturer of high-end indoor and outdoor architectural lighting products, launched four new luminaires at the gulfinteriors 2012 show held in Manama, Bahrain, recently.

The new luminaires were showcased for the first time in the Middle East after their official launch at a trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.

During the event the iGuzzini stand was visited and praised by HE Enrico Padula, Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, as “a perfect example of cutting-edge technology meeting art and design, one of the best expressions of Italian excellence.”

iGuzzini illuminazione was founded in Italy in 1958 and today, 50 years after its establishment, the company ranks among the top European manufacturers. Its headquarters are based in Recanati, Italy, over an area of 150,000 sq m including offices, production departments and logistic areas.

It has 18 European and non-European subsidiary companies as well as exclusive distributors all over the world with representatives in 64 countries.

In line with its emphasis on product design, technological innovation and sustainability, iGuzzini has collaborated with some of the most renowned architects and designers in the world such as Giň Ponti, Renzo Piano, Gae Aulenti, Piero Castiglioni, Norman Foster and Mario Cucinella, just to name a few, and has constantly invested in research as well as technological and production innovation with partners including Harvard University, MIT (Boston), La Sapienza (Rome), Milan Polytechnic, CNR (National Research Council), Central Institute for Restoration, and Lighting Research Center (Troy, New York).

The company’s activity is characterised by the designing of an efficient use of the light which translates not only into the production of innovative high-performance luminaires but also in its ability to combine them into lighting systems suitable for and able to blend into the most diverse architectures: iGuzzini luminaires are lighting some of the most prestigious settings in the world with thousands of projects over the world.

iGuzzini Middle East is a subsidiary of iGuzzini illuminazione. As the regional hub, it offers a range of services including technical product information, design support and marketing services to 13 countries  across the region.  The company will shortly open its first showroom in Bahrain in conjunction with Al Bait, its long standing distributor over 30 years in the Kingdom.

The company has also expanded its regional network with offices in Doha, Qatar, and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia with plans for in place for one in Jeddah. The move is aimed at guaranteeing better services to customers.
