Buoyant Chinese economy helps boost interior lifestyle opportunities
Interior Lifestyle China, the China International Trade Fair for Household Products and Accessories, has confirmed pavilions from five countries and regions for its sixth edition which will be held from October 10 to 13, 2012 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, Shanghai, China.
The four-day show, organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai), is expected to attract 260 exhibitors and 17,000 visitors. France, Germany, Hong Kong and Italy, have already confirmed their pavilions again for the 2012 show, and Spain will participate in the show for the first time. In 2011, there were 225 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions and 14,508 visitors from 47 countries and regions.
Evan Sha, deputy general manager, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) said: “China now has the world’s second biggest economy and this is raising the country’s standard of living. For example, with housing the per capita living area has exceeded 30 sq m, approaching that of developed European countries and far above that of Japan and Korea. In turn, this is ushering in new business opportunities for the interior design industry.”
