Partnership with Gira and Revox shows benefits of integrating technologies
DORNBRACHT, Gira and Revox joined forces at the recent imm Cologne 2012 exhibition in Germany to show the benefits of integration among different building technologies.
The highlight of the joint trade fair presentation, held under the title ‘Connected Comfort – Home Automation for the Senses’, was a multi-functional wellness shower: intelligent control technology enabling individual water, light and sound scenarios.
As the co-operation among Gira, Revox and Dornbracht showed, relaxation for the senses need not be a rare extravagance. Under the initiative, the solution-providers for intelligent building technology, complex audio systems and high-quality design fittings for bathrooms and kitchens presented a joint technology composition to promote an experience of comfort every day. As part of a living and bathroom space installation, the project partners provided visitors to imm Cologne with a demonstration of the potential of integrative, modern technologies.
Along with sight and sound technology, the installation automated and networked the control of the entire water supply within the living space on exhibit. The three partners were each represented with different product applications.
Visitors were able to experience the technological components both individually and in interplay with one another. In the residential realm, Revox offers an impressive sound experience with its high-end audio system.
Integrated in the exhibition was a Revox multiroom system with the capability of playing sound into up to 32 rooms.
The Gira touch sensor (Tastsensor 3) was used to call up light scenes for individual situations and moods and, together with Dornbracht’s eTool, provided two options for the control of the choreographies in this joint presentation.
One highlight of the exhibition and of the collaboration was found in the bathroom. There, a multi-functional shower demonstrated the potential of all three brands through an outstanding shower experience where water, music and light controls converged in minimalist design, customizable to the user’s individual preferences and needs.
With its ambiance tuning technique, Dornbracht sets the stage for a new form of shower experience.
The elements of the system can be combined in a variety of ways, allowing for individual planning and configuration of shower applications.
Users can enjoy a tropical rainshower from the JustRain sprinkler, a broad waterfall from the Watersheet flow spout or the soft washing of the body from all sides with Waterbar – all controllable from the eTool operator’s panel.
The design of the installation was created by Nik and Soryonne Schweiger of 3deluxe – biorhythm. |
