260 exhibitors line up for Shanghai show

Buoyant Chinese economy helps boost interior lifestyle opportunities

Interior Lifestyle China, the China International Trade Fair for Household Products and Accessories, has confirmed pavilions from five countries and regions for its sixth edition which will be held from October 10 to 13, 2012 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, Shanghai, China.

The four-day show, organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai), is expected to attract 260 exhibitors and 17,000 visitors.  France, Germany, Hong Kong and Italy, have already confirmed their pavilions again for the 2012 show, and Spain will participate in the show for the first time. In 2011, there were 225 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions and 14,508 visitors from 47 countries and regions.

Evan Sha, deputy general manager, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) said: “China now has the world’s second biggest economy and this is raising the country’s standard of living.  For example, with housing the per capita living area has exceeded 30 sq m, approaching that of developed European countries and far above that of Japan and Korea.   In turn, this is ushering in new business opportunities for the interior design industry.”

Interior Lifestyle China is firmly established in the industry as the only premier event which offers the best tailor-made business solutions for small and medium sized interior and lifestyle product brands wishing to expand in China.  The show attracts the most influential trading houses, importers, wholesalers, retailers, boutiques, department stores, large scale retail stores, mail order houses, interior designers, real estate developers, hospitality and restaurant business operators and the press.

For easy and effective sourcing the 18,000 sqm show is categorised into these product groups:

Dining: Glass, porcelain, ceramic, metal ware, design plastic, cutlery, kitchen tools and machines, and small electrical appliances.

Giving: Arts and crafts, gift stationery, florists’ requisites, room fragrances, candles, limited edition gifts, handcrafted series figures, and design and trend oriented gift articles.

Living: Furniture and household accessories, mirrors, art/photo frames, lighting accessories, household articles, garden and accessories and home furnishings.

In addition to the vast array of products on show, Interior Lifestyle China offers designer showcases, theme displays and various forums.
