The second edition of the region’s only aircraft interiors show attracts top names
A slew of impressive speakers have confirmed for the two-day Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) show on February 28, at Airport Expo, Dubai, UAE.
Those appearing at the workshops include Gary Doy of the UK’s Design Q which designed the interior of BAE Systems’ Avro Business Jet (ABJ), and Noureddine Madoui of German design firm Cas4de, who collaborated to produce a unique VVIP Airbus A380 interior for a Middle East customer.
In addition, Patrick Brannelly of Emirates Airline’s passenger communications, will take part in a panel discussion on connectivity, organiser F&E Aerospace confirmed.
As well as to the recently confirmed 140-sq-m French Pavillion, the exhibition will feature key names from the aircraft interiors industry including Andrew Muirhead, Anker, AvioInteriors, Percival Aviation, Eastern Aero Marine, Gerflor, Kydex and Sabeti.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation, will officially open the show.
The accompanying exhibition will showcase cutting-edge design, innovative cabin fittings and technological advancements for the region’s rapidly developing commercial and business aviation market.
Alison Weller, director of F&E Aerospace, said: “The second Aircraft Interiors Middle East show is benefiting from the success of last year’s inaugural event, attracting a host of industry professionals keen to share their expertise with their peers at tailored workshops.”
A key element of AIME is the innovative hosted buyers programme which will see decision-makers from top airlines attending pre-scheduled meetings with exhibitors during the show’s two days.
“As business recovers from the recent economic downturn, we shall soon see an increase in travel,” said Weller. “However, the public is now more cautious in its choices and the airline investing in the latest innovations in design and connectivity to enhance the travel experience, without increasing costs for its customers, will become the airline of choice in the future.
“I am confident that this year’s AIME will attract smart decision-makers in procurement who will seek out like-minded exhibitors and we shall see some good deals being made.” |
